This is a full-time, on-site role located in Firgrove Industrial Estate, Macassar, Cape Town. We are looking for a Semiskilled Boilermaker that will form part of the fabrication team to fabricate and
manufacture water and wastewater treatment components. The role will include pipe fitting, tacking in place, fabrication, assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of metal components and structures in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, quality standards and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a goal orientated mindset that works well in a diverse team environment. Measuring and calculating takeoffs for pipework is a key skill required for this role. The candidate will cut, prep, tack in place before handing over to a welder to weld the pipe or assembly.

Responsibilities

  • Pipe fitting SS304 pipe
  • Fabrication and tack in place with TIG for general steelwork
  • Read and interpret technical drawings
  • Adhere to quality standards and safety procedures
  • Measuring and marking parts according to drawings

Must Have

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ boilermaking experience in a similar environment (Steel and or Industrial environment)
  • Extensive knowledge of power tools
  • Ability to work under challenging conditions
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Position on offer is permanent subject to successful probation period.

    07h30–17h00: Monday – Thursday 
    07h30–15h00: Friday
  • R9,500 Salary (Experience Dependent)
