Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer that will form part of the production team to design and
manufacture water and wastewater treatment components. The role will involve designing the
mechanical components used in water and wastewater treatment. This includes, media filtration,
membrane processes, DAF, MBBR and MBR package plants.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in sheet metal design, steel pipe design and working with laser cutting and press breaks. The role is part of the design team and will work closely with process engineers and the production team responsible for manufacturing our products.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of custom equipment of process for water and wastewater treatment
- Design mechanical components from P&ID
- Generation of plant layout drawings
- Pipe system design and generating shop drawings
- Design and FEM analysis of key structural components such as structural frames and lifting lugs.
- Implement efficient designs using tube and sheet laser cutter to increase accuracy and reduce fabrication time.
Must Have
- BSc / B Eng / B.Tech (Mechanical)
- 3 years relevant experience in CAD mechanical assemblies and steel fabrication
- Proficient in sheet metal design
- Team player to fit in a young and dynamic work environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Driver's license
